About The 1-Day Workshop

If infertility is impairing your emotional or physical health, this one-day workshop will help!

The psychological distress of infertility can affect all aspects of life. Depression and anxiety for those diagnosed with infertility has been shown for some to be equal to patients diagnosed with cancer, HIV and heart disease. Along with emotional effects, infertility can also take a toll on your physical health. Research has shown that learning stress reduction techniques, and connecting the body and mind, within a supportive group environment may increase your chances to conceive.

“A community was built with tears, laughter, and sharing. I treasure that community.”

“I would encourage all couples who are having fertility issues to attend. This was a wonderful opportunity to share with others going through the same problems.”

“Dr. Marotta is a blessing with the work that she does.”

“I found it a very helpful mix of practical advice and heartfelt conversation on important topics. Thanks so much!”

“A safe comfort zone to share fertility challenges. Affirmation that I’m not alone helps couples to cope better.”

“The mind and body session was brilliant. My husband and I attended together and not only did it help to teach us techniques that we will continue to use throughout our fertility challenges, but we made some great friends. We were both nervous attending the session and worried about sharing our feelings about something so personal, but the safe, small group environment helped us enormously. We truly benefited as a couple and we're confident it will help us reach our parenting goals.” Emma & Dave

“Great instructor and great group. Today changed my outlook on this process from negative to positive. I am leaving much less stressed than when I arrived. I am very glad we attended!”

“It was so comforting to meet other couples going through what we are going through. I feel less alone.”

“It has helped me to look at my problems in a different way. One that is less painful, and more full of hope.”

This informational and experiential workshop combines group support with mindfulness-based practices to reduce stress and enhance well-being, cognitive skills to inquire into negative thoughts and promote feelings of hope and calmness, and strategies to maximize fertile health, wellness, and coping.

Program goals:

  • Understand the Mind-Body connection to infertility
  • Practice deep abdominal breathing to induce the relaxation response
