A graduate of Colby College, Dr. Alice Domar received her MA and PhD in Health Psychology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Ferkauf School of Professional Psychology of Yeshiva University in 1986. She did her post-doctoral training in Boston at Beth Israel Hospital, Deaconess Hospital, and Children's Hospital. Dr. Domar is currently the Director of the Mind-Body Center for Women's Health at Boston IVF, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Additionally, she is an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive biology at Harvard Health School, a senior scientist at the Mind-Body Medical Institute, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Domar is a pioneer in the application of mind-body medicine to women's health issues. She not only established the first Mind-Body Center for Women's Health, but also conducts ongoing ground-breaking research in the field. Her research focuses on the relationship between stress and different women's health conditions, and creating innovative programs to help women decrease physical and psychological symptoms.

Dr. Domar's books include Healing Mind, Healthy Woman and the national bestseller Self-Nurture. She also co-authored Six Steps to Increased Fertility. Her most recent work is titled Conquering Infertility. A columnist for Health magazine, Domar is also a member of the advisory board for Parents magazine and is on the Board of Experts of Lluminari. She has appeared on the "Today" show, "Good Morning America," "CBS This Morning," "Dateline NBC," "CBS Evening News," CNN, and "NBC Evening News." She presents lectures and conducts workshops throughout the US and around the world.

Dr. Domar has earned an international reputation as one of the country's top women's health experts, and was named to the prestigious list of 15 “Women to Watch in 2004” by Lifetime TV.
